Dhananjay Kumar Das (DJ) is a Director at Elevate, where he partners with law departments, law firms, startups, licensing companies, and research institutes to maximise the commercial value of their intellectual property portfolios. He advises on IP strategy and guides customers through challenges across the patent and trademark lifecycle aligning their IP initiatives with business objectives.

DJ works closely with legal, business, and innovation leaders to identify opportunities where intellectual property can drive growth, reduce risk, strengthen competitive positioning, and unlock new commercial value.

With more than a decade of experience in IP consulting and analytics, DJ in patent portfolio analysis, infringement analysis, Standard Essential Patent (SEP) intelligence, and patent transactions. He has partnered with IP teams at Fortune 100 and Fortune 500 companies on patent monetisation, litigation readiness, licensing strategies, and competitive positioning.

Prior to his current role, DJ led IP strategy and, research, for monetisation-focused engagements and played a key role in developing technology-enabled IP solutions, including SEP Hotline and PatGPT.ai, an AI-powered platform supporting patent mining, infringement claim chart generation, and portfolio.

He holds a master’s in Electronics and Telecommunication Systems engineering and a postgraduate diploma in Intellectual Property Rights and Patent Management. He is also a certified patent licensing professional.
