Peerpoint Founder Ben Williams Joins Elevate to Lead Contracts Services Business Unit
Prashant Dubey Assumes New Market-Facing Role as VP, Contract Solutions and Disability Inclusion
Los Angeles – March 18, 2021 – Law company Elevate today announced that Ben Williams, the founder and ex-head of Peerpoint, has joined as VP and General Manager of the company’s Contracts Services business unit.
“The contracts services market segment is growing rapidly and presents an exceptional opportunity for Elevate,” said Steve Harmon, Elevate’s VP Global Services and General Counsel. “Recent World Commerce & Contracting industry research shows 84% of its members experience pressure for contract simplification, 65% are focused on improving communication, and 81% have plans to implement contract automation. Ben has a proven track record of efficiently providing quality legal services at a leading legal service provider and will focus on technology enablement and the operational excellence of our Contract Services business unit.”
“I was drawn to Elevate because of the breadth of its offerings, the caliber of its people, its reputation for innovation, and its attention to delighting customers,” said Williams. “My career with law organizations has focused on leveraging new service capabilities and delivery models to serve customers better.”
For more than a decade, Williams has been at the forefront of innovation in the legal industry. In 2013, he founded Peerpoint, Allen & Overy’s Flexible lawyering business and the first provider of consultant lawyer services launched by a top-tier global law firm. Before launching Peerpoint, Williams was Head of Business Improvement at Allen & Overy and led their internal consulting unit introducing new models of legal service delivery within the firm. As part of that role, he launched the firm’s Legal Services Centre in Northern Ireland and formal partnerships with legal process outsourcers. He also led the firm’s early work on legal project management and process improvement.
In conjunction with this announcement, Prashant Dubey assumes the role of VP, Contract Solutions and Disability Inclusion. Together, both will report to Steve Harmon, General Counsel and Vice President of Global Services.
Prashant Dubey joined Elevate in 2018 with its acquisition of tech-enabled contract services market leader Sumati, where he was President and CEO. After successfully integrating Sumati with Elevate, Dubey led the combined Contracts Services business unit before assuming this new market-facing role. Applying his in-depth knowledge of contract management, his network in the industry, and his expertise in advising customers, he will design Elevate solutions to meet their contract management needs. The Disability Inclusion component of his role reflects Dubey’s passion for making a difference as well as Elevate’s belief that we can “do well while doing good.” People with disabilities presently represent only 0.9% of lawyers in law firms. Through advocacy and education, Dubey will lead Elevate’s disability equitability and inclusion initiative to improve on this.
