Elevate Adds Key UK Appointments to Board of Directors

LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA – January 18, 2022 – Law company Elevate today announced Amanda Burton and Jeremy Westlake have joined the Elevate board as independent non-executive directors. As Elevate’s senior independent director, Burton brings more than two decades of experience as a public company non-executive director, and a deep understanding of the business of law, having previously been the COO of Clifford Chance. As the current CFO of Network Rail, where he leads the finance function, including group finance, treasury, internal audit and risk, planning and regulation, and long-term planning and funding, Westlake brings extensive financial expertise as the chair of Elevate’s audit committee.

“Amanda and Jeremy are both respected UK-based directors with seasoned leadership and relevant business acumen,” said Liam Brown, Elevate founder, Chairman, and CEO. “We are thrilled they have joined our board, sharing our belief in the rapidly growing market opportunity for law company legal tech and services. Their addition demonstrates our commitment to assembling a board with the experience to guide Elevate’s evolution and growth over the long-term.”

“As a former public company GC, as well as a former COO of a major global law firm, I have walked in the shoes of decision-makers in both law departments and law firms,” said Burton. “I look forward to contributing my understanding of the legal sector, and the buyers and providers, to help the Elevate board and management team develop successful strategies to address the growing market opportunity.”

“Elevate has reached an inflection point,” said Westlake. “It has reached the size and scale where I hope to assist the company’s financial operations and planning, whether it pursues a financing strategy as a private or public company in the future.”
