The legal sector needs to embrace project management

Janvi PatelLaw firms are trying to change their charging system, but most still do not see the benefit of effective project management. Effective project managers can save substantial costs, can increase deal flow but overall can ensure that the aims of the actual deal are actually achieved – from the RFI process through the negotiation process and during implement. Project management is essential.
Another stark contrast was in the approach to project management, with only 17 per cent of the law firm staff agreeing it was very important to take a project management approach to clients, compared to 60 per cent of GCs.
