Nitin Sharma is a Director at Elevate, where he works with law departments, law firms, inventors, and R&D institutions to strengthen IP strategy, enhance tangible outcomes, and drive competitive advantage by developing defensible innovation portfolios.

He leads Elevate’s global engineering and illustration teams to design and deliver workflows and solutions that align patent strategy with business goals using patentability, invalidity, and freedom-to-operate (FTO) searches, white space and landscape analyses, monetisation and valuation support, and technical illustrations.

Prior to Elevate, Nitin led an engineering search team at Sagacious IP, supporting customers, particularly in high-tech sectors such as automotive, packaging, and industrials, with advanced patent analytics, competitive intelligence, and innovation mining. He also co-developed the GREEN100® Index, which highlights leading green innovation in global patent portfolios, and the SCALE™ tool, which benchmarks IP performance across industry peers.

Nitin is a registered Indian Patent Agent (IN/PA-5927) and a Qualified Patent Information Professional (QPIP). He earned his B.Tech. in mechanical engineering from the National Institute of Technology, Hamirpur.
