Bon Voyage, Richard Little
July 17, 2020
I am sad to share the news that Richard Little passed away peacefully during his sleep earlier this week, surrounded by his family. He was 75.
Richard was a co-founder of Elevate, a director of the board, our first CFO and GC, an advisor, mentor, and a dear friend to me and many others.
He was an engineer, accountant, and CFO of market-leading companies such as Quotron Systems (the leading provider of market data before Bloomberg), Teradata (the supercomputer company), HireRight (background checks and pre-employment screening), and Integreon (pioneering knowledge process outsourcing). He’d been around the block – a few times.
Richard was not a man to stand still. We started working together almost fifteen years ago, and within weeks he decided that the weather was going to be just perfect for climbing Everest that season, so off he went – for a few months! When he retired from day to day responsibilities at Elevate just a few years ago, he decided that, despite having spent years at sea as a Navy diver in his younger years (he was a Vietnam vet), now was the time to buy a yacht, learn to sail, and navigate himself across the Pacific Ocean to French Polynesia.
We will all miss Richard and his stories. Here’s wishing a good man much love and bon voyage on his next adventure.
Liam
