Jan is Director of Consulting for Elevate in the UK. She helps leaders of law firms and corporate legal functions to drive successful change. She supports them on all aspects of transformation, from defining and executing vision and strategy, to optimising operations and building high-performing, positive and resilient cultures.

She has over 25 years’ experience in the legal sector. Prior to joining Elevate she founded and led a consultancy service to General Counsel at EY. Before that she was an independent consultant, working with C-suite, and counted over a dozen law firms and top FTSE100 organisations among her clients. She also held senior strategic change roles at Addleshaw Goddard and KPMG, where she reported to the Managing Partner and International Chairman respectively.

She is best known for her work on organisational culture and behaviour, and has published widely in both the legal and academic press on this subject. Her approach to change delivers extraordinarily high levels of engagement and adoption, from the most senior to the most junior levels in organisations.

She has a first class honours bachelor’s degree in Mathematics from Queen’s University Belfast, an MSc in Atomic Physics that she completed as a DAAD scholar at the Ruhr-Universität-Bochum, Germany, and an MBA from Henley Business School. She has extensive international experience and is a fluent German speaker.
