Third Strategic Acquisition Since May 2024 Adds Award-Winning IP Services to Elevate’s Offerings

Los Angeles, California (January 28, 2025) – Elevate, a leading provider of software, consulting, and services to law departments and law firms, today announced the acquisition of intellectual property research company Sagacious IP, with Sagacious co-founders Anant Kataria and Tarun Bansal joining the Elevate management team.

Founded in 2008, Sagacious serves law department and law firm customers worldwide, including Fortune 500 companies and IAM1000-listed firms, in the US, Europe, China, Japan and beyond. Its experts and state-of-the-art IP technology tools made history in 2024 when Sagacious became the first patent company to sweep all major global patent search competitions, winning the Patent Information Users Group’s Brian Stockdale Award, the International Standards Board for Qualified Patent Information Specialists Susan Helliwell Award, and the 2024 Patent Olympiad’s Champions medal.

Joining Kataria and Bansal at Elevate is a team of over 500 professionals including IP experts from diverse technology areas including ICT, Engineering, Automotive, Life Sciences, and Chemistry. These IP professionals are trained in US, European, and other IP laws and have multilingual expertise, including Asian languages like Chinese, Japanese, and Korean.
