Kathy Caprino identifies six personal roadblocks to career success and makes useful suggestions on overcoming them. I read this with interest and certainly found that Block 4 applied to my younger self. I was brought up constantly being told not to be a “show off”, to play down my successes and cultivate that oh-so-English self-deprecation. I’m sure it didn’t stand me in good stead in my legal career! A useful article; do read it.
