Lucy Bassli has it right. This is OUR time. Let’s make the rules! We have an opportunity, and more flexibility, to enter different types of jobs, share our point of view, innovate, and think differently where others are being complacent. If you ever wanted to do something or share your voice, start now – start with anything – and help others find and share their voices too.
We, as female attorneys, have an unprecedented chance to be trailblazers in legal innovation practices. But why us and why now? It’s simple; there is no advantage needed. All we need to do is lean into the skills we inherently possess, such as empathy, efficiency, and the metaphoric juggling of work and family that we already do every day.
