trends flexible resourcing Elevate artificial intelligence

Elevate’s operations span the globe, and Australia is home base for our APAC presence. Having recently returned a week with our Australia team, first in Melbourne and then in Sydney, I wanted to share some impressions of the current state of the industry in the Great Southern Land. 

I was struck by the positive business sentiment I encountered. In both the UK and the US, trade policy uncertainties and domestic political issues continue to generate anxiety about the near-term economic outlook. My strong sense was that Australians, while attuned to such considerations, remain calm and confident about the prospects for their country’s continued economic health and those of the APAC market generally. 

Elevate’s performance in the country over the past year reinforces those impressions. Legal industry awareness of Elevate has increased markedly in the past 12 months, especially with regard to our flexible resourcing business. During my visit, the Australia team and I represented Elevate at the Lawyers Weekly Corporate Counsel Summit and Awards, including through my participation as a panelist for a session, ‘AI for In-house: Regulation, Responsibility, and Real-world Insights’ (as aside, my thanks to my fellow panelists Tom Balmer of TransPerfect, Joanne Chen of LegalVision, and Andrew de Celis of Telstra, who had some really relevant and actionable ideas). Throughout the course of the event, I was thrilled by the number of delegates who made a point to visit our booth, having heard of us, attended one of our recent industry events, or read a LinkedIn post by Val Pitt, our Director, Flexible Resourcing APAC. 

Val recently celebrated her one-year anniversary at Elevate, and the interest we have received is a testament to her hard work raising Elevate’s profile, including via her recent guest appearance on The Corporate Counsel Show hosted by Lawyers Weekly managing editor Jerome Doraisamy. Elevate’s heightened brand recognition as one of Australia’s top providers of legal resourcing solutions is translating into business results. We’re excited to build on that momentum.
