A superb discussion earlier this week by Matthew Hodgkinson on Lawyers Weekly’s ‘The Corporate Counsel Show,’ with Matthew detailing his transition to a ‘fractional’ career as a General Counsel. He touched on many of the benefits that resonate with Elevate Customers and the Talent whom my Elevate colleagues and I match with law organisations. These legal professionals value being able to pursue a portfolio career, assist a wide range of customers with their business of law needs, and choose the timing and duration of assignments. Our law department customers embrace the flex approach because it provides access to crucial niche skill sets, enables rapid scaling-up and dialing-down of legal teams, and, crucially, saves money over traditional external counsel staffing approaches. These factors will drive increased use of flexible staffing for the remainder of 2023 and beyond.
