Some women, including myself, seem to think that being outwardly career-focused is a negative thing. We prefer to say that ‘if I’m good enough then it will happen’. Men on the other hand, don’t sit back and wait to be noticed, they absolutely put themselves out there, demanding to be recognised. So they generally get ahead more often and sooner.
